I am excited for TWO reasons:
1. I got a tiny hoop (like 30-32”, not sure which) yesterday from the toy store because it was only €2 and I wanted a thinner one to practice more hand tricks with annndd…even though I’m coming down from a 38”, I can already do ALMOST everything I can with the bigger, heavier hoop, even body tricks! What a pleasant surprise.
2. A really good hooper actually started following myblog. Thanks, telepathicpebble. :)
Also, I’ve been watching a few of the Electric Forest Hoop Troupe audition videos for inspiration. You should check ‘em out too, and vote!
Jessie Lee (friend of a friend — skip to about 2 min to get to the hooping part)
Megan Wilmot This girl is just adorable and seriously amazing.
Harley Spin Sick handwork and minis….ahh.
I aspire to be this good!
i will do all the things i said i’d do. i will get my confidence back, and then some. i will stay positive. i will spend less time talking shit. i will trust the universe again. i will stop eating like shit. i will trust other people when they haven’t given me a reason not to. i will keep spending…
Pretty much could function as my mantra as well. Only I wouldn’t have said it with the balanced variety this has.

Yesterday, my wonderful Grandpa Robert Geer passed away at the age of 90. He leaves in his legacy nine children, twenty grandchildren and an immeasurable amount of love. He was still fully present mentally until his death, even being able to recall all of his classmates and teachers from elementary school. It is bittersweet because, though I miss my Grandpa, I know he has been saying he ‘just wants to go be with gram again,’ so I know he was ready.
I’m just glad I went home to visit for Easter. Miss you, Grandpa. You’ll always be loved.
As my good friend Adam noted, “Searching for a Former Clarity,” and “The Ocean,” have so much more weight now. I think the rest of today’s music diary is going to be Against Me! filled.
Pretty light amount of music for yesterday, if ya ask me.
Nick Southall is spearheading a cool project this week: “For seven days this spring, from Monday the 7th May to Sunday the 13th May, anyone who wants to take part will keep a diary of everything they listen to, and publish it online somewhere.”
Count me in. I mean, I listen to a ton of music…
Count me in.
